Exhibition in Faern Resort Victoria Lauberhorn / Pasta & More
black ice
In this exhibition at Pasta & More (Wengen), I invite you to experience the Swiss Alps through my eyes. I am drawn to those extraordinary moments when the mountains reveal themselves beyond their everyday face - dramatic peaks, deep contrasts, and the dance of light and shadow that transforms familiar landscapes into something almost cinematic. I search for the fleeting instants when the ordinary becomes remarkable, when the mountains seem to tell their own story. The places I photograph are not chosen at random - they are locations that hold meaning for me. They are the sites of unforgettable memories, quiet discoveries, or dreams yet to be realized. I experience these landscapes intensely, climbing their peaks as an alpinist, or soaring above them with my paraglider, seeking perspectives that are impossible from the ground. Each scene carries a personal connection, a history, or a vision that I wish to share through my lens. Through careful and deliberate editing, my aim is not to present the Alps exactly as they appear at a given moment, but to convey how they strike me, how they linger in my memory. Each image is a reflection of my perception, capturing the essence and emotion of the scene rather than a literal reproduction. Light, shadow, and contrast are tools I use to reveal the hidden drama and beauty that these landscapes whisper to those who truly observe. This exhibition is a journey through the Swiss Alps in their truest form. Light highlights their frozen textures, shadows carve their sharp edges, and every surface tells a story of relentless forces. These mountains are breathtaking, but they are also brutal — beautiful yet unforgiving, powerful yet fragile.
#19 "guardians in the morning mist“
Hahnemühle 80 x 45 cm (Aussenmass: 81 x 46 cm) | Alurahmen Eckig Schwarz
Wrapped in soft morning light and drifting mist, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau stand like ancient guardians — silent, timeless, immense. This view unfolds along the trail from Grütschalp to Mürren, one of the most beautiful hikes above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. From here, the Eiger’s western face feels impossibly steep, and the vastness of the Jungfrau becomes strikingly real. It’s a moment that reshapes your sense of place — revealing just how closely Wengen lives beneath the gaze of these Alpine giants. For me, as an alpinist, these mountains are more than a view. They remind me what it means to set a goal — and to fight for it. To face fear but never stop. They hold moments when nature strips away everything else, and you come face to face with yourself. And through it all, they quietly remind us how small and insignificant we truly are.

#04 | 1 "monte rosa glacier - illuminated by magic"
Hahnemühle 80 x 45 cm (Aussenmass: 81 x 46 cm) | Alurahmen Eckig Schwarz
Endless ice, fractured seracs, dramatic peaks as far as the eye can see – and then, almost casually, the Matterhorn on the horizon. The Monte Rosa mountain range doesn’t just impress, it overwhelms. Especially when light and shadow start playing their quiet game. “Every moment of dark and light is a miracle.“ - Walt Whitman This series captures the raw contrasts of the Monte Rosa glacier – where hard meets soft, where movement freezes into form. And sometimes, the mountain doesn’t choose between wild and calm. It just shows both.

#06 "monte rosa textures“
Hahnemühle 60 x 80 cm (Außenmaß: 61 x 81 cm) | Alurahmen Eckig Schwarz
The surface of the glacier is a landscape in itself — ridges and cracks, polished ice next to broken edges, every detail shaped by centuries of pressure and slow movement. For a brief moment, a single beam of sunlight broke through the clouds and touched one section of ice, like a spotlight on a stage. The rest remained in deep shadow. In that light, the glacier felt timeless. But appearances are deceiving. The ice is retreating year after year, shrinking silently. A day will come when photographs like this are the only memory of these frozen giants. For now, the Monte Rosa glacier remains - powerful, but fragile.

#09 "ibex in spring"
Hahnemühle 45 x 60 cm (Außenmaß: 46 x 61 cm) | Alurahmen Eckig Schwarz
The Alpine ibex is perfectly adapted to life high above the valleys. In spring, their thick winter coat begins to shed, giving them a rather patchy appearance for a few weeks. Around Wengen, one of the best places to observe these majestic animals is the hike up to Wengernalp. The trail follows the cliffs of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, where the ibex often gather to graze on the first fresh grass of the season. With a bit of luck, you may encounter small groups – sometimes even ten or more at the same time.

#10 "3967“
Hahnemühle 60 x 90 cm (Außenmaß: 61 x 91 cm) | Alurahmen Eckig Schwarz
Rising to 3967 meters, the Eiger might be slightly lower than its famous neighbours, yet it feels anything but less imposing. In this image, its western face dominates the frame, a sheer expanse of rock and ice - raw and uncompromising. There’s a brutality here, an aura forged from countless stories of triumph and tragedy - legends carved into stone. The Eiger will always remain special to me, as I`ve experienced my own dramatic story on the west face. It tested everything I thought I knew about fear and endurance and made me doubt if I would ever step into the mountains again. The mountains don’t care if you’re there or not. They do their own thing. And if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, make the wrong choices, or lose your respect for them, it can be the end of you.
